Septic Confusion

We have installed a new anaerobic septic system.  All my experience says NOT to put bleach in it, but my husband says the septic man says to put it in monthly.  Who’s right?  Who’s wrong?  Please help!

    We have a septic system my husband will not allow me to put bleach or any caustic cleansers in the toiet and flush it down. He says they kill the necessary good bacteria [ yuck!] that eats and decomposes what is in the septic tank. I have a wek stomach and feel sick thinking about it!
